314 STOP errors

Fozz Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello Expert Forum Members, I have a 314 system configured: 1. PS307 2. 314 MPI CPU 4. SM321 5. SM322 6. SM338 7. FM350 8. FM350 9. SM331 They system has been working without any problems for the last 6mths. It has just start to intermittently go into STOP mode. The system is physically remote to me hence error info is a bit sketchy. On one occasion all SF leds were solid red with the exception of the sm331 which was flashing. On otheroccasions only the CPU had theSF led on. Attached is a CPU diag file from the system - but not necessarily related to the above SF LED indications (I was unable at the time to download the diagnostics log). I would be grateful if anyone knows, from this limited info, what the fault is likely to be or do I need to load the diagnostic OB's to get to get the exact cause of the problem? Dear Fozz, If this was only once then send a message to Siemens in your country with the remark that you have a defective-error. Normally such a message is only coming when the CPU gets a problem where no code is written for in the firmware of the CPU. It could be that there is coming in some time a new firmware version for this CPU. It could also be that the CPU is really defective and have to be changed.

Fozz Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Update for the benefit of others: This problem was caused by a poor local power supply - A UPS was fitted and the system has been fine ever since.Neither the CPU, MMC or 24vdc PSU were defective. I still don't know whypower outages were throwing up somany problems...
