314C-2DP S7 connection

zaid_b Experienced Member Joined: 10/5/2009 Last visit: 8/8/2023 Posts: 67 Rating: (0)	Dear All , I have 3 S7 314C-2DP , I am trying to make a s7 connection between them , the problem is when I try to enter a new connection in Netpro I receive the follwoing :No valid connection could be established between the local and remote partner(for example, due to incomplete network or there are no more connection resource) . What am I missing exacly ? I am using the built in DP port of the PLC .

Brynboy17 Posts: 27 Rating: (14)	In the hardware configuration open the cpu and click on the communication tab . If the S7 basic communication figure is set to 8 , try reducing this to 1 . These figures are the reserved connections set up and though the literature states there is a maximum of 10 connection resources this is not true for the older S7300 cpus

I am using the built in DP port of the PLC . hey you can use s7 connection between the 3 cpu , by using connect (unknown device) putting the target CPU ip address when you configure the connection . and use put/get instruction in the program . if you still have a problem setup tia portal and try to it by tia portal ,look at this pdf am using here s71200 to connect to s7 300 its the same method may that help regards ahmed hamad Attachment s7_conn.pdf (156 Downloads)

Clear info is needed. hey Duris he said 3 so there are 3 Siemens CPU'S with same model

Duris_I Diamond Expert Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 2/24/2025 Posts: 10832 Rating: (836)	Hello hamad, so if Yusuf mean same cfg with 3 mentioned CPUs, S7 (PUT/GET) isn't possible only S7 Basic communication. All depends to who will be selected as Server. Other choice is use DP protocol with DPRD_DAT and DPWR_DAT blocks.
