314C/2PN-DP EMBEDDED INPUTS

In device configuration, it seems that those inputs are hardware interrupt inputs, and you have to choose between rising or falling edge for the interrupt. My problem is that I want to use them as normal inputs. How can I acheive this? I tried to choose rising edge, but only the last byte seems to work (the last 8 inputs, from 17-24) as normal inputs. The first two bytes, inputs from 1-16, still doesn't work. Any help would be very helpfull Thanks in advanced

Any help would be very helpfull Thanks in advanced Hello, Do you use TIA Portal for configuration?What do you mean by normal inputs?Positive and negative edge detection on such inputs are options and are not obligatory.When you select them, you should call OB40 for processing and as far as I know , that doesn't interfere the process image concept in controller.Updating process image and calling interrupt are in parallel. Am asking this because I cannot see the status of the inputs in proceess image nor in a watch table, even though the corresponding led switches on, in the card. Hello, The only point I can mention here is to check if the start address of input module match the addresses you are using.For that go to "Device Configuration" select the digital input and check the start address in "I/O addresses" section in properties of module.Please provide your project or snapshots of your online tests for more clues. Hi, From CPU properties it will tell that this input you canuse as hardware interrupt also not fixed that this are only used for Hardware interrupt regards, viral patel

The funny thing is that inputs I138, works perfectly. Inputs I136 and I137 does not seem to work, or does not being update in process image, even thought the led o the card in on. The one at the left is for Analog I/O and last byte of Digital inputs (the one you can read in) The second connector at the right is for Digital Inputs and Outputs. (Left are inputs and right are outputs) Can you confirm you are using the right connector (X12) At the attachment you will find the wiring. This problem may exist if you have not connected L point (+24V) on pin number 1 or M Point (-24V) on Pin 20.The I138 may be working fine because you may have connected L point (+24V) on pin number 21 and M point (-24V) on pin no. 30.
