315 2dp cpu compatibility

We need to replace it with same product but in market its successor CPU 6ES7 315 2AH14 0AB0 is availabe. now the problem is MMC is password protect so i cant make any changes in hardware configuration, so can i replacace it without any change or what should i do?? regards

In most cases ( However not All ) , you can use the MMC from old version CPU in new version and it would work. However best way to find out will be to actually try it. Good Luck Navnag

Hello naveen_paliwal why speculate when you can (or should be able to) take Siemens by their word when they state that: "If you replace a CPUagainst a compatible follow-up type, the STEP 7 project needNOT be changed". Since the 315-2AH14is the compatible follow-up type for the 315-2AG10, my answer is: "Yes, you can replace it without any changes".
