315 2PN/DP, PN port as Ethernet or TCP/IP channel?

Does anybody know, if it is possible to use PN port of31* PN/DP CPUsas classical Ethernet communication channel (for tags,.....; Industrial ethernetor TCP/IP;) between WinCC SCADA and CPU? I am not sure about that. In "common" product description for CPU315-2PN/DP, it says about this interface: quote: Ethernet interface; the second integral interface of the CPU 315-2 PN/DP is a PROFINET interface based on Ethernet TCP/IP. It supports the following protocols: S7 communication for data communication between SIMATIC controllers; PG/OP communication for programming, startup and diagnostics through STEP 7; PG/OP communication for interfacing to HMI and SCADA; ... end of quote; But in technical description, there is nothing written about this functionality for Ethernet interface. Any experience ?

Gerard_1 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello Sydney, I tried over and over again to configure the PN port as an Ethernet port. I want to makeconnection"ISO-on TCP" between an 315 2dp/pn (6ES7 315-2EH13-0AB0 v2.6) and an "Other station" It is possible to add all the devices in the NetPro configuration, but I'm not able to create un error free connection table. The only way is to ad an extra CP module (e.g. CP343-1 lean). Do I have to buy an extra CP module or is there an other way? Thanks Gerard.
