v3nom Advanced Member Joined: 11/25/2009 Last visit: 11/12/2024 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hello there, We are working on a system using 315-2DP CPU, the DP port used for the profibus drive communication, whereas through MPI port we have running a PC-based HMI using CP5611 card in the PC, the connecting cable to this MPI port have6ES7972-0BB60-0XA0 connector on the \PLC side, we have another HMI TP277 when we connect this HMI through this MPI port we find the address conflict error, and when we remove the PC cable from the PLC using this connector (6ES7972-0BB60-0XA0) and directly connect the HMI TP277 to this MPI port it works fine, we want to know is there any limitation of MPI network, or we need something else to prevent this conflict error, we want to operate both HMIs using MPI network so is there any suggestion to do it ? Kindly advise your valuable suggestions. Regards.

Yes if i only connect the cable of TP277, it works fine, and same the PLC, by this as far as my understanding i think that only one system will work fine at a time. They are connected in this way that on MPI port, PC based HMI connected using 6ES7972-0BB60-0XA0 connector on this connector we installed TP277 cable, one can say overlap the connector as 6ES7972-0BB60-0XA0 connector have the female connector on the other side, so we put our Tp277 cable on it, and found communication error on PC-based screen
