For anyone else searching for the same, I've found the following option:
I have not progressed on this or used it myself though. If anyone does it would be greatly appreciated if you could post back with the results, ease of development etc. There was also a fully worked through HMI with a 3D robot viewer done in WinCC Unified but now the video has been made private.
