4-20mA output on 6ED1 052-1MD00-0BA6

nutty Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I am having trouble getting a current output. I am attempting to make a general 4-20mA test rig with a logo and the Analog output module. The sheet that comes with the module suggests <5K across the output terminals. (I have tried all sorts upto 1M). The problem I have is that I always get 19.7mA across the terminals or nothing <0.05mA) through the resistor. If I measure the voltage across the terminals that changes OK so I don't think it is a faultly module, just me with configuration or wiring. Attached is the program I am using to test with and I think I have set up the 4-20mA type and scale. Attachment analog testing.zip (624 Downloads)

When you want Current output you wire I1 and M1 for channel 1 and I2 and M2 for channel 2 Mind that resistant of actuator <= 250 Ohm. Best regards, Wizard

I don't see them on the module or diagram 2.3.3 I have V1+ m1 and V2+ M2. That's what I call the outputs. What are the PE terminals, do I need to connect these? I am using a 122k resistor which is >5k but olny get 0.08mA

I thought you were using the AM 2 AQ (6ED1 055-1MM00-0BA1), this module can output 0-10 Volt or 0/4 - 20 mA Best regards, Wizard
