4-20mA sensor wiring to LOGO epansion module AM2

Jason250 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have a 4-20 mA analog input from a sensor that is powered by a power supply in a differnt cabinet, the power supplies are isolated from one another. Will the analog inputs on the AM2 work in this situation? Does the power supply powering the AM2 module and the power supply powering the sensorneed to be common? I have lookedand have not found any documentation that describes what the different connection terminals on the AM2 are exactly, they are I1, M1, & U1 per channel, what do these labels mean? To which of these terminals would I connect the two sensor wires? Thanks!

I1 is for current sensors U1 is for voltage sensors M1 is common the best way to avoid problems is having the same potential in your system.. but please take a look to this link http://cache.automation.siemens.com/dnl/jg0NTIzMQAA_21221909_HB/Logo_e.pdf on page 37 there is the wiring for AM2 hope this helps!!
