414-2 CPU communication with Field PG

Xiuh Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	hello, We have a system that have 414-2 Cpu and porfibus with 12nodes. I want to connect Plc with Field PG and watch profibus nodes' situation and Plc's activity. I used Ts adapter for comminicate with Plc but i couldnt succes. Ts adapter's MPI out is connected to Plc,rs232 out is connected to Field PG's MDI port. Is ıt wrong ? I have tried nearly all of PG/PC interface modes but couldnt connect.. So i used mpı adapter with usb comunication but i was again unsuccesfull. What must i do to connect to 414-2 CPU with profibus from Field PG ? ** 424-2 CPU has 2 ports and these ports have porfibus connecter.

You can connect the SIMATIC Field PG via the CP5611 to the integrated DP or MPI interface of the CPU. On you SIMATIC Field PG you select the CP5611 under PG/PC interface. You can use PG function via this connection. Best regards Little Holmes

Xiuh Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, Firstly thanks a lot for ur advices but i did what u said and i didnt connect. Basicly my connection is ; CPU 414-2 ---------- ( MPI side )TS Adaper ( RS232 side ) ------ Fİeld PG's MDI port I checked all of TS adapter connections on internet and i didnt found another connection type,am I wrong ? On simatic manager i setted CP5611 connection with DP or MPI and checked connection parameters. After that i clicked for searching any PLC but none of PLC found :S And now i cant solve this problem. May be u can give another advice. Best Regards

Xiuh Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I tried to connect with ts adapter directly but i didnt succes so i wanted to test ts adapter was really working. Ts adapter was connected to a modem by me with rs-232 cable to modem's rs232 port which shown as ts adapters manual. After that connection,i call the modem's number but modem now answering ( machine's and cpu's power supply was on ). So i was blocked fully and now need some help again :( I have looked at all of documents and schemes but not connected yet. I thınk if i will tell my problem clearly,may be someone can give any advice. - We have a machine that includes mpi,as-i and profibus network. Also it has cpu414-2,ps405 power supply and 32x D.Input at 4. on rack,32x D.Output on 5. on rack. And Cpu has a memory card. Cpu's EXTR led is red and BUS-2 led is blinking so the machine and cpu cant work. I have siemens field pg,ts adapter,usb-ppi multimaster cable and rs-232 cable. Now how can i connect to machine, see machines network scheme, check slaves on network that which is wrong or out of work? ** To connect plc with S7 manager should i configure network on s7 ? and that configuration is wrong,S7 warn me ? or only hw configuration is enough ?

And in your program don't have Which organization blocks do you have to load into the CPU to ensure that the CPU does not go into the "STOP" status when a remote I/O fails? Back to your question. Look at What is the difference between the PC Adapter and the TS Adapter in communication between the PC and the S7? how to use TC Adapter. best regards, Hristo Mihalev

Xiuh Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Thanks for reply Mr. Mihalev, i read before that guides so i did what they said but i didnt connect.Finally i'm suspecting ts adapter really works But newly i found some error codes 86 and 122,may this codes will give me a new way. Alsa i have to connect cpu and see what is going on
