545-error loading program

Jim W. Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a spare 545-1104 module that I can connect with and switch from RUN to PROGRAM and back. When I attempt to load a new program by transferring the logic to the PLC, I get the error message: Error clearing memory - illegal write to program memory (non volatile). I haven't found an answer in any manuals yet or in the forum and am curious if there is a fix, or if this module needs to junked. Thanks, Jim

Jim W. Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the reply. The module did have an EPROM which I wasn't aware of as we don't use them. I have removed it and had assumed I could then install a new program, but when the module is powered, the CPU GOOD light is blank and I get a fatal error "FATAL ERROR DUE TO EPROM". Any particular steps for re-loading a program?

Jim W. Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	I'm not sure in what order I was able to cure the problem, but with the EEPROM and jumper removed, and clicking PLC Operations - Complete Restart, the module is now in working order. I appreciate your advice, Sam.
