Sirs, I have a Cincinnati Arrow2 1250 vertical mill that trips after 10-15 seconds of program running or any kind of hand-jogging of the axes. The alarm the control displays is "Simodrive 611 Power Module Fault, the power stack is not responding". When the power module trips, the LCDs on all the drives show no alarms, they all say "run". I have replaced the Power Module with a used one, and the problem still exists. I had a technician recommend replacing the choke because it was making a lot noise and getting warm. Choke was replaced with a new unit (still made a lot of noise) and the problem did not go away. I probed a leg of 280V between the machine and the transformer with the power module on and off. When the module is on, I see a ton of noise on the line. I'm not sure if this is the cause of the tripping, but I suspect that it is. I've disconnected all of the drives (24V bus) and the line noise did not go away, so I don't believe the drives are a problem. I recorded a video of the system tripping while hand jogging. You may view it here: --Deleted Link-- I appreciate any help. Thank you, -MetalMan155 Attachmentpictures.zip (87 Downloads) |
