Anigma Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi all, This is the first time i using this forum, hopefully i ask the right question at the right place. Here the senario, I want to read a High speed digital Input signal (shortest signal lenght around 1ms)l from a measurement equipment. I select the 6ES7321-1BH10-0AA0 module base on its 50us performance. Today i just run a test,just after i receiving the module. Sadly i just get 16 off signal input but the euipment output 29 OFF signal (Equiptment will initially hold ON state). What being worng here? PS: I just capture the signal with a normal counter in normal FC block. I already try to dig into Manual, sadly there are no special setting/explaination founded, look like it just a normal I/O module. PLC reads inputs--- does the trick in the program--- sets outputs and then goes back to reading the inputs. You are missing counts because off that. If your module supports it: What is a hardware interrupt and how do they work in the S7-300 system? Regards, Marcjan

I do notice the cycle time, sadly is after i figure out the there still missing count even after i changing normal I/O card to high speed I/O card. From the previously attachment, i found out that the I/O module is not supporting hardwere interupt but do support Isochronous Mode, does that help? (eventually i cant found any settable setting in the hardware setting section) Any workaround is greatly appreaciated any chance of software interupt? Honest to say i had not much exp on siemen plc, only 1 project on S7-1200 and another on S7-300 P.S: Greatly recommend siemens guy to add-on some "reminder" on the catalog, great help to newbie like me (I actually thought is special module like FM card, can do image on input then feedback to CPU)now im on the hot pan

Does it sound like a bad idea? im not sure how does it affect the CPU performance. Please advise.(Need some confidence to my solution before i go to customer) Many thanks
