Hello Experts, One of our 6RA70 drives give A031 alarm near base speed, i have check P590 & P591 Its correctly set Speed set and actual, P388 = 3 % P390 = 3 SEC , FOR same drive i have attached trace file where we can easly see that when speed setpoint increase that time field also get weaken and arm current also increas but speed not match, because of same we are getting product defect. pls give suggetion, what can be done to resolve same. Hello Meet What is your application ? Do you have a Current Limit / Torque Limit Active ? If there is a Current limit active and Drive is operating a current limit, then you will get this alarm. This is quite normal in Winder applications where speed setpoint is always higher than the web speed with a Torque limit applied. In such cases the Threshold of the alarm needs to be increased. Even in non Winder applications ( Extruders , Mills etc ) , if the Drive reaches its Current Limit / Torque limit ( Fixed limit in Drive parameters / variable limit through Analog Input / Profibus ) , you can have this alarm. In such cases, you can either increase the limit ( if possible ) or reduce the load. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

Hello navang thank for support, my application is rolling mill, I have check all para related to limiting P171 = 70% P172 = -70% P181 = 300% P182 =-300% P510 & P511 = K2 FIX 200 P603 = K1 FIX 100 P604 = K9 Block specific. [ is there any more limit para i need to check ? or this is it ] here what i can see my minimum Limit is 70% where as if you see in Trace file current was only 30% when speed not match. i think from above parameter i can't see limit from profibus or else, although i have attached drive monitor file also pls refer and guide what else can be the prob. Thanks in advance for your kind support.

Hello Meet KSNis right 70% Current Limit is low for Rolling Mill Application. Usually Rolling mill duty have Current limit setting at 100 % or more .
Has there been any change in your Mill or in Rolling parameters ? e.g. is there any change in Material Hardness, Thickness , Screwdown load , Mill Reduction, Increase in Line Speedetc, which could cause the Motor current to reach current limit. You really need to monitor the motor current at the time of Alarm .. as that is most likely to be the problem. Have any Drive parameters been changed recently ? In Particular I am preplexed by your setting of Speed Dependent Current Limiting ( P104to P 108 ) As per your Drive Configuration, the Rated Motor Speed in 500 RPM, while in Speed Dependent Current Limiting, the Current is being limited to 0.1Amp at 250 RPM Was the Drive working earlier at same line speed ?? Hello Experts, once again A-31 appear in one drive, here i have attached its Trace file, yes in trace it is showing current limit reach, in limit word r40-bit 11 operated current limit, but as i have check here actual current is not reached 100%, as per para setting P171 & P172 = 100%, but i dont know how this K-131 is less then 80%, pls guide me how this K-131 value came 80 %. and general i have observed in my plant drives Limit word bit-2, 9, 10, 11 is commonly getting high, how to resolve same. Thanks in advace for your support.
