RAM81 Silver Member Joined: 3/3/2008 Last visit: 10/5/2023 Posts: 333 Rating: (52)	hi the 802D system does not contain any battery , the PLC and NC data are stored in a flash memory. normally the data is kept in a working condition with the help of super charging capacitor. noramally this capacitor will drain if you siwtch off the machine for more than 50 hours. so there is a option called save data which saves the content into a non-volatile memory. in this way you can backup the system internally and restore it when required. with regards ram

LTS Posts: 50 Rating: (0)	Please forgive my possibly crazy questions but I have zero experience with the 802. Where should I look to find a back up? I have a machine that was retrofitted with this control and we have no documentation. All the wires were cut and no off them were marked. So no I have the task of reconnecting and finding out the I/O is as far as I got. So I went looking for a ladder but what I found looks like a sample ladder. So maybe the guys that did the job saved everything somewhere in the control. So where do I look? Thanks

RAM81 Silver Member Joined: 3/3/2008 Last visit: 10/5/2023 Posts: 333 Rating: (52)	hi press shift and alarm key together, you will enter the menu area.there look for an option called startup. when you press startup you will get 3 options 1.nck reset 2.power up with default data 3.power up with save data so if some one has done save data earlier then you can choose the option called power up with save data, before that enter the password as SUNRISE. better way is try to get the backup before doing anything on the control regards ram

OvidiuNastac Silver Member Joined: 1/29/2008 Last visit: 7/26/2022 Posts: 419 Rating: (19)	Hi I think that you don't find anything else in the backup since the PLC program is on the flash card, and what do you think that is a sample ladder may be the machine PLC ladder based on a Sample milling or turning from the 802 library, adapted to your machine (many builders do it in that way).
