Jeff C. Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi,I'm a first time poster here. I am having problems loading the plc and the pcp in my Emco 320 with 810T control. It's an older machine(1991-1992) that has just had the servo drives power supply rebuilt. Is there an updated plc I can load ? The machine manufactuer doesn't give phone support anymore. Any help would be great. Jeff

siemens22 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	1) What version 810T? G Basic, GA1, GA2 or GA3 2) What is the machines serial number? 3) Your best bet is to get the original PCP back in. There really is no need to update PCP for this machine unless you are looking for specific mods. 4) Are you comfortable loading the PCP file back in if your obtained a copy? 5) How did the PCP get lost? 6) Are you sure NCMD(TEA1) & PLCMD(TEA2) are still loaded?

Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	It is a Sinumerik 810 T GA1 Serial #A75D1D2008 What happened was that the machine just shut off while it was running.We checked all the voltages everywhere on the machine andthe only fault we could find was that thedrives power suppy was faulty.The unit had been rebuilt and reinstalled. The original machine plc and pcp were on a floppy disk and our old computer stop working so I took those files and transfered them to a CD and tried uploading them,but they are now in notepad form. I can upload the tea1 and tea2 but when I try to upload the pcp it shows the Dio for a few seconds then shuts off before the tranfer completes. Thanks, Jeff

Does it works ? (Turning) Behind the Power-Unit. You can check it with Paper. Is the Fan are clean. You can remove it from button-Side. Push and down the FAN-Unit. Check the Conektor "FAN-Control" If NOT FAN is working, the conektor are opened. For Test you can Short-Cut the "Enable" from the Powerunit. Make a wire over the "enable"-Konektor.

siemens22 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	1) Must be in Service Diags/Set up mode 2) Must load TEA1 first, TEA2 next 3) Go out of Service Diags and back in Service Diags 4) PLC Initital , Clear Flags, Clear PLC 5) Go back a page and press Data in/out softkey then Data in softkey 6) Load PCP 7) If it displays DIO and shortly goes out try baud rate down to 1200 8) If it loads a substantial amount of PCP file then DIO goes out - PCP is probably corrupt. If TEA1 & TEA2 go in smoothly then don't panic, the PCP will go in IF a good file. Just curious...What drives are used? Contraves or Baumuller

Are the TEA1 and TEA2 1 file to upload or 2 seperate files?Mine is1 And under the PLC Status I have, IW Under the KM Key 7654321076543210 0000010101111110 Under the KH Key 057e QW Under the KM Key 7654321076543210 0000100000000000 Under the KH Key 0800 Would you know if these are correct or are the machine specific? Oh,and these are Baumuller drives. What happens is when I hit the AUX on key,it tries to initialize the servos and then all the lights on the drives blink rapidly then fade off. Maybe the drives power supply I had rebuilt wasn'trepaired correctly. Thanks, Jeff

siemens22 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	The TEA1 & TEA2 can be loaded in as 1 file. As long as the TEA1 is FIRST. Don't get bogged down with the IW, QW info right now. I really suggest you contact the OEM and get the latest PLC(PCP) file to load in. Once you get this in correctly you can move on to troubleshooting effectively. Not an uncommon problem - just be persistent and learn as you go.

Just Bill Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Believe or not I have the same system and also am in need of the TEA1 & TEA2 , PCP files I have the Baumuller Drives X-Y and spindle Mine dumped the memory after a battery change...Changed it with the power on like recomened but low and behold a corroded contact would be the down fall...so if anyone is still using this system and you are felling helpful it would be appriaciated.. Its a sinumerick 810T GA1 with Baumuller drive systems..... Thanks Attachment 320.jpg (185 Downloads)
