840C Error 110018

tonydea Regular Member Joined: 6/26/2008 Last visit: 2/13/2023 Posts: 39 Rating: (1)	I have a Hyundai HiT 8 S with Sinumerik 840C with error . 110018 Interface Serial 1 not Initialized. I have re-installed the hard drive back-up but the interface still will not work in the normal manner. The machine does not have the "Services" softkey, Hyundai have modified the user interface, so I cannot edit the interface setup or activate a new setup. The interfaceseems to be working in "PC Link" so I do not think there is a hardware fault. Some years ago I was sent a utility "device.exe" to solve these interface failures but on this machine it does not seem to work. Is there any way of re-initialsing the serial interface?
