840C start up errors

m3elle Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	We just got a Hyundai HIT-8s with a Siemens 840C. At power up I get the following messages: Hard Drive controller Diagnostic error Floppy disk error or no controller present Floppy disk type is set incorrectly or drive error I have never worked on siemens before, Any suggestions where to start? Thanks in advance

Pee Ell Sea Posts: 672 Rating: (57)	Start with the MMC card which is the widest card and located at the right hand side of the rack. The RGB screen cable is connected to it. Be aware that you will lose data by removing cards from the rack I'd take it out and see if there is a hard disk in it still and if it functions when connected to a standard computer. Pee

ec2009 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	m3elle ,i am also facing same problem in Naxos Machine having system 840c,let me know have you changed Hard disc installed in MMC card ? or only MMC card?

I don't think you will get answer from them. if need help --open a new thread or post your problem in detail, I guess your system is not booting when power up. ec2009 m3elle ,i am also facing same problem in Naxos Machine having system 840c,let me know have you changed Hard disc installed in MMC card ? or only MMC card?
