840D communication - my FieldPG I can´t go online without changing the plc-adress

In your control panel i mean in your PC/PG goto set PC/PG interface in this go to your respective cp5511 MPI.... in this goto diagnostic there is test information available as i understand in your case it shows OK. similarly there is read option is available.... if you have plugged cable on x122 the address will be NCK -3 PLC -2 HMI- 1 MCP-6 PC/PG -0 If you have plugged the cable in x101 the address will be NCK -13 PLC -13 HMI- 1 MCP-6 PC/PG -0 Check this and revert back... Regards, Prakash Hello! I have a question about quote above: Why is the MPI-adresses of the plc and ncu different in X101 and X122? My problem is that in my PCU50 the plc has MPI adress 13 in HardwareConfig and when I plug in my Field-PG in the PG-connector on the pcu 50 the plc has MPI-adress 2. Therefore when i open my backuped project from the pcu50 (with MPI-adress 13) in my FieldPG I can´t go online without changing the plc-adress to "2" in HardwareConfig. The Quote explains the adresses, but not why there is different adresses. Are there 2 different MPI-networks? Regards, Fredrik

On the NCU card in this ports X101 is the OPI port where it has the baudrate of 1.5Mbps and NC and PLC adrress are 13 this address are from Siemens X122 is normally used for connecting to our PC/PG this is used for the Service activity for taking the backups and this works with the baudrate of 187.5kbps and address of ( NC-3,PLC-2) Yes this address can also be changed by the machine manufacturer it works.... Where are you plugging the cable for getting inside the PLC??? Check it out and provide me the details. Regards, Prakash

In that port the cpu has the MPI-adress 2, but i don´t think the MCP is connected to X122. The strange thing is that i looked in a pcu50 at another machine (other manufacturer) and there the cpu has MPI-adress 2, but the pcu50 is connected to X101 and nothing is connected to X122. Is the MPI-adress in X101 configurable in the Machinedata of the NCU? We also have Simatic Manager installed in the PCU50, and there is where i have MPI-adress 13 in hardware config. CPU MPI-adress 2 in Hardware config, MCP connected to PCU-50 and then to X101 on NCU and online mode from pcu50 works. When i look in accessible nodes there is no mpi-node with adress 2, just 6 and 13 (MCP and CPU?)... Well, the adresses/ports is not confusing me, I just don´t understand why I can go online with S7 manager installed inone PCU50 with PLC/CPU MPI-adress "2" in hardwareconfig and connected to port 101 (cpu adress 13 according to the scheme) and not another PCU50 connected to X101 with PLC/CPU MPI-adress "2" in hardwareconfig without changing the adress in hardwareconfig to "13".
