840D error 120202 Wait for connection to NC/PLC

cnc.vse Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear All We have a boring machine with 840D. A year late, monitor display message Battery low, for some reason, we do nothing to repair it. At the moment, it display message 120202 and machine can't run. Could you help me for this faul? Thanks and best regards

TSH Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	Hello Please check the status of the LED's on the NC circuit boardin the electrical cabinet. You should see a 7-segment display with a number 6 displayed and two columns of LEDs. Left column relates to NC status, top green should be on. Right column is PLC related, top green should be on. You should also see a flickering orange LED. Regards

TSH Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	Hello You have a PLC problem, do you have an NC and PLC program backup? It could be a case of reloading the PLC fileor it could be a hardware problem. You could try pressing the blue RESET button (Do not press the NMI button) but I don't think this will help. I suggest you contact your local Siemens service centre. Good Luck

These is the left Unit from the PLC-Inputs, PLC-Outputs. Check all 24 Power-Units. Do you have Profibus ? If yes --> Power O.K. ? All cable are O.K. If a Input/Output , that the PLC are NOT answer --> PLC go in STOP I think search here at first.

(e.g. wire breakage, NC/PLC not ramped up, faulty address/data transfer rate configuration of one of the bus nodes, etc.). So, first check all that I’ve suggested above. You can try also to diagnose the problem with Step 7 in hardware diagnostic.Good luckNit

O.K. normaly you have loos NC-Data and PLC-Data. ***************************************************************************** Fortunately, it is a 840D When properly handling the machine can be easily re-commissioning. (If the vendor at the targets held) We need Information. How old ? 840D-Powerline, Solution-Line. Which NCU (Siemens-Number) Which Panel (MMC100, MMC103, PCU20, PCU50, OP ...)
