840D GHOST IMAGE IN USB STICK?

Im barely new working with siemens so, there's a lot of missed things. for example, i make a PLC back up on a USB stick but not the .ARC ... i make it through HMI step7 utility, but the back up was incomplete when i open it on a PC with step7, why is that? Regards.

betanzos Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Procedure was like this: In OP open step7 file --- Archive --- etc. After that open the archive on a PC (not PG) with step7 and see some missing DB's, i try with a PG but even when it downloads complete (no missing DB's) no comments come with it. So i have an incomplete program with comments and a complete program with no comments ... why is that? I've been thinking, when you do the PLC.ARC the PLC must be in stop mode ... should be the same to download it on step7 from OP??

Most of the time from NC some of the DBs are read inside the PLC...thats why you find it has missing.... Yes this the best pratice to download the PLC .arc file....
