PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Expert Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 11/23/2024 Posts: 8092 Rating: (879)	Hello Experts, We have equipped with 840Di system with PCU 50 + 611D drive with ADI4 module on 6+spindle axes HBM. Yesterday in IInd shift machine stooped functioning with channel message as Wait: Axis enable missing. In dignosis service display window, checked & found enable pulses & speed controller LEDs status of X,Y,Z & W axesis orange (not GREEN). Also for thses axes external linear scales are connected thru ADI4 module. On service display for these 4 axes, measuring system 1 & 2, LED status is orange. (For these 4 axes measuring system 2 is activated) Checked ADI4 module & on its LED status H1 green LED (supply voltage) found OFF. Checked supply voltage at terminal P24 & M24 which is +24 V DC. The MLFB no of this module is 6FC5211-0BA01-0AA3. We have got another spare module with MLFB no as 6FC5211-0BA01-0AA1. I replaced the existing one with the spare available. Ofcourse PROFIBUS address on DIP switch S2 set as per the original one i.e. 10. DIPswitch 2 & 4 ON, switch 1,3,5,6,7,8 OFF. Reconnected the external encoders connectors as per the originals. After this when power is switched ON, the H1 Green LED of supply voltage lit, but H2 LED RED (Ready for cyclic data exchange with DP master) also start switching ON & OFF at particular time interval. Earlier when machine was in running condition no any RED LED on ADI 4 modulewas illuminating. Can any one explain me why this LED is blinking at particular time interval? Does it need to adjust any parameter or needs activation of ADI module? Thanks in advance. DEEP.

Looks like the firmware is getting updated thats why this indications goes.... H1 POWER Green :Supply voltage OVTEMP Red :Overtemperature indication H2 EXCHANGE Green: Cyclic data exchange with DP master in progress READY Red :Ready for cyclic data exchange with DP master Regards, Prakash

QUESTION: During the commissioning with a new ADI4 (6FC5211-0BA01-0AA2) module the following status occurred: during the commissioning of the NC part, the red LED (RDY) on the ADI4 "-0AA2" module starts to flash. When the ADI4 "-0AA1" module is used, everything runs correctly. Does a special setting exist for the 6FC5211-0BA01-0AA2? ANSWER: If NC MD 13070 =0 -> this produces the following error situation: The RDY LED is flashing on the ADI4 and the NC reports alarm 380075: Failure of the PROFIBUS slave. Solution: The NC MD 13070 = 0F must be set for the ADI4 ...0AA2. Regards, Prakash

At the first instance i.e. when the ADI4 module failed, why the system was displaying as "Wait: Axis enble missing"? Instead why it didin't displayed "ADI 4 module failed" or "communication failuer" or something like X Y Z W axes measuring systems defective? Thanks in advance. DEEP.
