Gadhaviji Posts: 63 Rating: (2)	Hi Expert I have 840DiSL syastem,I am facing problem with 840Disl during unwanted power trip. Once power fail,i have to download back upagain in 840Disl. Suggest solution!!!!!!!!!1

Martinsrf Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Gadhavij I think, You should see PLC, NC status and alarms. If no alarms and NC/PLc run, it's not necessary download backup... When power fail occurs?

Gadhaviji Posts: 63 Rating: (2)	Dear Expert, After power fail ",MCI board data reload required"massage is promptingand when i am pressing ok,then 840Disl automatically rebooting. During rebootingi am going in Siemens Service menu and selecting system start with default NC/PLC data. Then onlysystem will start with dafault data,after that i have to load backup. I Reg. Hingla

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello.... Best way is to have DC UPS for protecting PCU 50 in 840DI machine... you don't have to load the backup. The backup is loaded from the MCI board if any interrrupt has happened.when you again switched ON it will load from this automatically Unless untill if you have not removed the MCI board..... check out the 840Di Manual in Docon WEB https://www.automation.siemens.com/doconweb/content.asp?item=2830&cd=sinumerik_simodrive_04_2010_e&scope=all Cheers..... Gadhaviji Posts: 63 Rating: (2)	Hi Expert This is correct,but due to power failer ,when again system is booting MCIboard data is not restoring automatic. I have also got f/b from other user they are slao facing same problem with 840Disl. Reg. Hinglaj
