But, it is possible to install 2 x 8 Gb PC3-8500 memory modules, or more if the memory module is PC3-8500, or this will not work. Thank you.

Timmy Posts: 41 Rating: (0)	I have tried to upgrade the 847C from 2 2GB chips to 2 4GB chips but have not been successful in getting memory that will work. I have followed the specs per the manual which is DIMM DDR3 memory, 1066 MT/sec, type PC3-8500, unbuffered with or without ECC. I have gotten two different sets of memory. The first set caused the PC to fail to post and just restart over and over again. The second set allowed the computer to start and post however it would not make it through the physical memory check. It would freeze at 75% and have to be hard booted. Has anyone purchased any 4GB chips for an 847C and had success with it? If so can you please send me to the place your purchased it or pictures or anything to go on? Thanks in advance.
