Hello BoomTH; If your CM104 is configured for Modbus/TCP (as server, or client?), then you are right, the Controllogix ENBT module cannot exchange data with it. Rockwell does not provide Modbus/TCP connectivity directly through their own offerings; they use Encompas Partners (third-party manufacturers associated with Rockwell) to develop "plug-and-play" add-on modules. For communictaions, one of the partners is Prosoft-Technology, and here is one of their Modbus/TCP processors for the Controllogix: http://www.prosoft-technology.com/content/view/full/8968 This module can be used as servwer or client; others are linited to only server or client, others are dedicated to remote rack applications.... The variety is interesting. Integrating them into a CLogix system is quite easy, and configuration is quick, especially with the ladder routineprovided. But someone will have to procure, install and program them.... Good luck. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello; This looks l;ike a case where you might need to look at stand-alone protocol gateways between your communicatuion processors. For example, look at: -Prolinx gateways (from Prosoft): Long link -Fieldserver gateways protocol list: http://www.fieldserver.com/products/drivers/drivers.php -Applicom gateways (from Molex/Brad Harrisson): http://www.woodhead.com/products/brad/bradcommunications/gateways/ There are probably many more avilable on the web. Good hunting. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
