ABB robot passivates Profibus safety modules

Swright Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	A customer with a large Profibus/Profisafe network is having issues with passivation of safety modules in ET200S racks. He has been adjusting the F-monitoring times and greatly reduced passivations. He has been adding ABB robots to the network and the passivations increase. Has anyone seen this issue or can you suggest where to look to solve this problem?

The correct monitoriung times can be computed using the so called S7cotib.xls sheet. The firts sheet is to compute the needed time for the safety program when using S7-PLCs. The second sheet of the workbook is used to compute monitoring times. How to use the table is illustrated in this document: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23926783
