SonicRanger Posts: 151 Rating: (8)	Hi sim-a-tech , Is this slave already configured in your HW-configuration, and how (only empty slots maybe)? And can you comunicate if you set up a network in the simatic manager? Be careful that you select here the right device description with the right measuring span. Maybe you can post a screenshot where the whole fault message is displayed. Best Regards, SonicRanger.

Chook Experienced Member Joined: 6/13/2006 Last visit: 9/21/2023 Posts: 201 Rating: (8)	Hello I have the same problem before but I solved the problemfollow steps below Go to control panel and find Advanced Setting for COM1 or COM2 ( which oneis connectingwith profibus) Tick the box " Use FIFO buffers " and click OK . Restart computer and reconnect the life list good luck chook

SonicRanger Posts: 151 Rating: (8)	Hi Chook, I am not behind my laptop with PDM at the moment, but I know by heart that you are talking about settings concerning the HART modem here, not profibus. As far as I know, we have no device that can communicate to profibus trough a serial comport with PDM, even not the PC-Adapter.

MinnetonkaBoater Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi Sim, If you don't have a liscense for all of the tags shown that could be the hang-up. I have only a four tag liscense. If more than 4 tags show up on the network, I can see them, but PDM won't allow me to pick only one. If you can, couple direct, and work with just that unit. If you talk, then that is it.
