I'm beginner to this technology, and actually I'm lost.

As I understand that SIMOTION modules have a built in PLC.

So, what is the benefits for the programmer or the user ?

Is it low price ?

Or is it less breakdowns ?

What is the meaning of the word: Motion Control ?

SIMOVERT MC is also a motion control, so what is the different ?

I know these questions maybe stupid, but really I'm searching for about 2 hours and didn't get the point.

Motion control entails higher level control of drives and actuators than standard functions.  Standard functions are things like jog, run at a certain speed, control tension, fairly simple things like that.  Motion control does than and adds position control, synchronous operation in X-Y and X-Y-Z planes, following paths, following cams, functions like that. 

What makes a motion controller useful is the easy way it makes these functions perform.  For example positioning.  In a PLC without motion control, positioning is rather difficult.  You need to calculate and generate a move profile (ramp-up, go at a constant speed, ramp down) all while regulating position during the move.  With a motion controller, you just say Move from A to B and it does the rest of the work for you.

Some PLC's have basic motion controllers (S7 1200 and 1500) and others have expansion modules that do some of this.  These are usually very basic but can handle simple tasks with few axes.  A decent motion controller is much more powerful and can handle many more axes than a hybrid.

Depending on your application, a PLC with motion control can work or a motion controller with PLC can work or separate PLC and motion controller can work.  It really all depends on what yiu are trying to do.
