about the automatic retract when tool is broken in the process of tapping

gaoggggg Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello,sirs, The customer required the following tapping function:when the tool is broken in the process of tapping,one key is pressed,the spindle doesn't stop but rotate in the opposite direction and retract from the tapping hole,has anybody made this kind of function?thanks a lot! best regards gao

First of all you have todetect if the tool is broken ( 3rd party software ) - if the tool is broken and the keyis pressed you have touse an interruptto call an asup. Within this asup you can programm your routine. You'll find such a similiar function on 5 Axis machines. Best regards

Yes you can retract by using cycle 84 rigid tapping....(modifying cycle 84 progam and PLC ) i have steps and procedure for the same... check it out...it will help you.... regards, Attachment tap retract.zip (326 Downloads)
