About the diagnostic buffer event code

You can find a list of events (refelcted in the diagnostic buffer) in the S7-300/400 Standard and System Functions manual (chapter 35). You will find a printout of these events as an attachment, below.

Note that the information provided in the events lists are not more informative than what you will find in your diagnostic buffer. The buffer additionally logs the faulty module or function address, which is most important for troubleshooting.
