About the display massive of data by using "tag"

Dear All,

I am a beginner of Siemens programmer.

and now I tried to use "tag" to display a lot of data in the screen that from the DB in HMI(KTP1200).

(it is UDT data array[0..127] that had 3Real numbers and 3Bool).

my software is TIA Portal V13.

the question is - if I defined all the DB UDT data into tags,

the software will warning me that tag used exceeds the limit.

is that any way to use the index and indirect address to display the data?

example: first item is data[0], second is data[1],,,etc that can decrease the numbers of tags?

the attachment P1 is the data table that the format I need to finish.

but while I read the manual, in the "Basics on user data types" chapter, it said:

"If you use external tags of the "User data type" data type in a faceplate instance, each user data type element is counted as a tag in Runtime."

is that mean although I use this method, I still can not reduce the numbers of tags that I used?

No the Way in your Screenshot is "Tag Multiplexing"

I would not use this because you have a lot of disadvantages an you do not save Tags.

The Adress Mutliplexing you can only use with adresses, so you can only use absolute Adressed Tags and no Optimized DB in PLC.

If you go to the Adress of the Tag you can use insted of constants also Tags and so you can work with offsets.

I would not work with Faceplates if you use Adress multiplexing. you can use for example one Screen for every Typical (area or Devicelike motor 1, Motor 2) and when you load the Screen (event) you can set the Offset Tag for the indirect adressing. or you use a Textlist for that.

There are multible options to get it work.

Thanks for the reply ;)

after the one whole day to read and read the manual and web in here,

I explained two option to my boss,

1.we will use pointer to ++ the index in the PLC Program just like this.

2.define all the data in the internal tags(so will not count as tag numbers) and then link to the PLC tags,finally move all the data by using PLC..

I hope it works and thanks for your help ;)
