rlubet Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I have a process in which i have to use regulation bloc CONT_CP_TCONT_CP The PV as output from these blocks are defined as real. I would like to send these process values on 12 bits analog output. I have any idea about the how to convert the real value generated by the PID to a word of 12bit to generate a 4..20mA signal. Can anyone help me in my application? Thanks in advance for your answer Romain

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 2/21/2023 Posts: 6794 Rating: (1340)	Dear user, There are 2 options to transfer LMN of PID: Use LMN as a real value and then FC106 from TI-S7 Converting blocks to send data to the SIMATIC standard analog output channel. Try to use LMN_PER as standard data for analog output channels. If you want to un_sacle any value (real) in an arbitrary range to analog output modules, use FC106. I hope it helps, hdhosseini

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 2/21/2023 Posts: 6794 Rating: (1340)	LMN is output of PID block and can be applied on a control valve while PV (as output) is only a copy of PV or PV_PER to be sure if it is provided correctly to algorithm.
