Absolute Basis question .... Adress of the Pins (S7-300)

SB1986M Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi, its been a long time since I used the S7. Now I got stuck on the absolute basics .... How can I find out which adresses I have available on my SPS? The last time i used this was 2005 and in STEP7 there was a table giving me a total overview about all adresses such as E0.0 E0.1 E1.7 .... A0.0 A1.0 etc etc etc Now I have to use TIA V11 and cannot find this information anymore.... How do I know which of the pins has each adress? I just want to make a test and want to see if a DO output can light up on my SPS so I can start with the programming.. Thanks!

SB1986M Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi, thanks for your help. But It does show weird numbers.... The Manual for the S7 says that it depends on the slots. My PS uses 1 Slot. The CPU 2 Slots and I have 3 Modules. The first one uses Byte 0 to 3, the second one from 4 to 7 and the third from 8 to 11. But it seems that it does not function on my S7.... SB1986M Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	In Addition i tried to create a normally closed contact (E136.0) and than give the signal to A136.0. But there is no LED on on my SPS after uploading the compiled programm to it. There are no errors or warning during compilation.

SB1986M Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Sorry for the late response .... So i do have to connect EVERY Module I have to 24V??? Is that new? In the year 2005 there was no need to do it. And where should i get the 24V from? Do I need to use the 24V from the CPU? And what do I do if i have 10 modules? connect 20 cables ? Thanks

You can reed more about it in the Module data manual In the PDF i attached before you can see the connections at the terminals. There is no need to use 20 wires, simply wire from 1 module to the other. For testing your output you only have to wire 1 group of outputs. Regards, Marcjan
