ABSOLUTE ENCODER ERROR IN 840D SYSTEM

Sufiyan Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear all, We have hobbing m/c with 8 axis. 4 axis use scale & all 4 need ref with m/c power ON. other 4 axis has absolute encoder attached with motor. In one of the axis A1 I am geting alarm axis A1 encoder hardware fault & also axis A1 measuring ckt error of absolute track 00000004H. A1 & V1 (both absolute) there is dual drive LT module. I have interchanged f/b connector atdrive & then found now error comes with V1 drive, i.e. prob confirmed at out side. control card also confirmed OK with other m/c. encoder cable also confirmed OK with other axis motor cable. Now what can be done further for to solve this problem or further diagnosis

Replace the Good Encoder cable on this motor and check whether any error is occuring 1ft6044-1af71-4eh1 SYNCHRONOUS SERVOMOTOR 1FT6 5.0 NM, 100 K, 3000 RPM NATURAL AIR COOLING, IP65 IM B5 (IM V1, IM V3); ABSOLUTE ENCODER ENDAT 2048 P/REV (ENCODER A-2048); FOR POWER/SIGNAL CONNECTOR CONNECTOR OUTGOING DIRECTION AXIAL DRIVE END WITH HOLDING BRAKE; 1ft6044-1af71-3eh1 SYNCHRONOUS SERVOMOTOR 1FT6 5.0 NM, 100 K, 3000 RPM NATURAL AIR COOLING, IP65 IM B5 (IM V1, IM V3); ABSOLUTE ENCODER ENDAT 2048 P/REV (ENCODER A-2048); FOR POWER/SIGNAL CONNECTOR CONNECTOR OUTGOING DIRECTION AXIAL NON-DRIVE END WITH HOLDING BRAKE; Check it out... FEEDBACK CABLE OF MOTOR REPLACED WITH SPARE NEW ONE, STILL PROB REMAIN WE HAVE ONE SPARE ENCODER, WHICH WE WANT TO REPLACE. SO PLEASE GUIDE FOR HOW TO REPLACE IT. i.e. HOW TO DISMENTLE OLD ONE & WHAT CARE TOBE TAKEN. THEN HOW TO FIT NEW ONE. AFTER THAT HOW TOGO FOR ABSOLUTE POSITION SETUP. WAIT FOR REPLY

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (474)	Hello... Can you delete the particular motor drive configuration and do the fresh configuration for the this motor and check. Aligning the encoder is quite difficult task.. you need to match the encoder markings (Glass -Encoder PCB-Motor Shaft)and current need to be matched properly.... yes aligning can be done but you need to have special equipments for removing it...
