absolute encoder feedback is too high, but correct

I have a TO "Positioning Axis" that recieves a feedback from an absolute encoder. In theory, the feedback is correct, but way too high. For example, I get the feedback 23805,987°. 23805,987°/360° = 66,127741. 360° x 0,127741 = 45,987°. 45,987° degrees is the correct value. Does anyone know what causes this issue?
