Hello David; Sorry, I did not pay attention to the "T" in the CPU part number. Although the complexity of the screens should have given me a hint. Going back to the Product Support link, I have found this download to specialized gsd files for the absolute encoder; it seems to allow operation of your encoder on a standard, non-Technology Profibus link: The device master files in SIEM24.ziphave been designed for operating absolute encoders 6FX2001-5xxxwith Profibus DPversion A1or later in the operating mode DP.Clock-synchronized operation withslave-to-slave communciation is not supported I cannot swear that this is the perfect solution that you were looking for, but it looks like a good start: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/14849784 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
