Jeff Casagrande Posts: 1529 Rating: (202)	The short answer is yes. The CU310 uses SM modules for encoder adaption. SMC 20 for endat encoders SMC 30 for SSI encoders (if I remember correctly)

SMC 20 for endat encoders SMC 30 for SSI encoders (if I remember correctly) SSI on x23 (Onboard SMC30) only with FW V2.5 SP1 and CU Ordernumber 6SL3040-0LA00-0AA1 !

Because the CU310-2 have no restrictions for SSI Encoder like the older CU310. But from the first post is not clear which ControlUnit exactly is mean and which FW Version!
