I 've used the homing for an absolute encoder to adjust the encoder offset. I want to do the same, but not with the control panel, but from the HMI. Reason to do this is when a customer changes a motor, that he can do a homing itself. I've used the plc open block _MC_Home. I've madea print screen and uploaded it. When I do it like this, the "current absolute encoder offset" will change to zero and the previous value is my actual position. See next upload. The meaning is that the customer can choose thezero position hisself. So homingmust bepossible at different places and not at a fix place. This value is the "current absolute encoder offset". See post above in the attachment. The meaning is that the actual position of the axis changes to zero when I press the homing button.

In attachement the solution (in dutch :s) In fact i want to do the same homing (by using thehmi)like you can do with the control panel. The solution is to use the block _Homing. PedroJorge Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	You could do the same function as control panel, using McHome with Homing type 'DIRECT_HOME'. Doing like that, the actual position go to Zero, But,, when power off, the adjust say good bye!. Your solution is correct. using '_homing' whit mode=....BY_POSITION, you are adjusting the system parameter absoluteEncoder[n].totalOffsetValue=HomePosition(Input variable of _homing)-EncoderPosition, (Non volatile system variable).
