Thanks, M.G. For what type of device? Default is symbolic for many / most things. If you are wanting to configure a DB for abs / sym, right click the db, select properties, scroll through the property list to attributes. Toggle the checkbox to change between them. Similarly for blocks. Is this helpful to your question that does not really explain what you want to someone who has never used legacy step 7.
