accelerating/deccelerating ramp

aante Posts: 55 Rating: (0)	Hi all! I nead to make (generate) accelerating (and deccelerating) ramp using s7 -300 plc. Time of ramp and min/max bariers must be adjustable... Output must be on analog output card... Is there any "pre-made" function for this purpose? (like cont_c for pid)... Any ideas? Thanx

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 4/19/2025 Posts: 12346 Rating: (2710)	Hello John; If I remember well, the call for this ramp function was from OB1 in the original project, and there were adjustment in the FC to compensate for the OB1_PREV_CYCLE to the step_time of the ramp. Worked pretty well, too. Now if you wish to call them at precise intervals in OB35, I would suggext you replace the OB1-Cycletime by the use the original ramp function successively and in OB35, replace the OB1_ PREV_CYCLE with OB35 cycle setting. This would now of course be a constant, as per the parameters of your OB35. You could also remove the call to OB1_PREV_CYCLE in OB1. Now,why don't you simplydesign your own function (to use in OB35)? You would not need to use these sections of the original function. Since you have the code for FC1, it should not be too difficult, and probably more streamlined, to simply adapt it.
