Acces to database

I'm working on a project for my work.
I wrote a script in vba in wincc flexible but i need acces to data in the script from a database.
but the standard acces to a database like you can use in vba excel doesn't work.

Does anyone know how i can acces a database from a script in wincc flexible?


I have also a problem with the declaration of my variables

in vba excel you use: dim a as integer
in wincc i can't use the declaration like in vba excel
so i have to write:dim a otherwise i get a syntax error
so how i can make a correct declartion in wincc?

so you say that i can create a nex *.csv file with my data and that i can put the data in some tags so i can use them in a script.

but is there a problem when the *.csv file change sometimes?

what i mean:
i want a screen where i can put some values with input IO fields
i need this values for calculation from values that i get from plc
when the data comes from the plc i use a trigger from plc so the script starts
i make the calculation an put the new values in other tag so icanputthemin a database

So what i understand is:
i make a logfile, everytime i change the values in the screen i log this data with commandbutton?
and in the script i have to acces this file?

but how i can have acces to this *.csv file in the script and how i can say for example, i need the 5 th line in te *.csv file?

thanks nemo but i have a problem when i want to acces the database that i have created

conn.open"PROVIDER=MSDASQL;DSN=MS Access Database"

when i use this in my script conn.open isred underlined and i get a syntax error

Is this actually supported in wincc flexible 2004?

i think this code can help me to acces my database but i can't see really what code is only for opening the database and acces it.

ok, but when i check the syntax , i get only errors with the msgbox"",all the other code is ok.
or is the syntaxchecker in winccflexible advanced the same like in wincc native
andcan the code only been used on wincc native?
