Access Control on S7-300 Cpu.

Good Morning to All,

this is my first post on this forum but i follow this always.

I would like to know if is possible enable an "Access Control" on the S7-300 Cpus.

I need to know if someone control or edit my software.

i can't put a Psw.

I guess in line a access control router style, to store the mac address of who you connect to.

Is possible do this?

As far as I know,S7-300 is not capable of reporting who downloaded or had online access to your system.In the basic parameters of a CPU there is a "Protection" tab to define read/write protection by a password.Please, consult with the manual for the type of CPU that which functions are possible with this protection level .PLC can not track user accessing it because it is not intended to.

You can't log the details who changed the software in step-7

The only way to track that the software is changed by comparing backup with your "ACTUAL BACKUP".

OR

You can check the last modified blocks in Step-7 which will help you about modifications done in software.

With current strategies in STEP 7 and architecture of S7 controllers,all details you want can not be captured and saved automatically.Each block has a code section and a header section.Extra information such as dates and author name can be saved in header and is transferred to PLC.In future, you can compare the data saved in code section and header section to see the mismatches and it is done automatically by STEP 7.I don't think this humble implementation can provide you all data you want.
