Access data from data log file

Hello dear forum users:

I´m working with a CPU 1215. My question is if you can access the values ​​of a data log, to use them in the plc program, and write these values into a DB, for example.

My idea is use the data log as backup of configurations. So in execution time, I read the stored values to replace posible wrong values generated by user.

The retain memory is not an option for me, because this is fully occuped.

Any suggestion?
