Access Direct Key functions in Simulation when using proxy PLC in TIA software

Hi,

I wonder how can I access the Direct Key functions in Simulation when I am using a proxy PLC in TIA software. I have read a few documents and forums for guidance but all in vain.

When I download it on the hardware, direct keys communicate perfectly. The porblem is only in the simulation. Please notice, that I am using a proxy PLC in TIA which is then connected to TP1200 Comfort. 

Please consult the attached picture. Also please notice that in TIA properties of Operating mode, I cannot select any 'Assigned IO Controller'; because none is there in the list.

Guidance is highly appreciated.
