Hello Folks!

I have a somehow similar idea, and I would like to know if it would work. I have a PROFIBUS DP network with some S7 master/slaves wich I need to access from a third party SCADA (specifically iFIX). My first idea was to put an IE/PB Link, and configuring S7 connections between each PLC and SIMATIC NET. Then I would get access to the values vía OPC from the SCADA. I´ve attached a scheme of my solution...

Is this right? Would it work?

If it does, what would I need to buy? Anything else appart from de IE/PB Link and SIMATIC NET software?

NOTE: My CPU´s are 315 and do not support the available ethernet CP´s.

My CPU is an old 315 and doesn´t support any of the available ethernet CP´s. I´ve already checked this by reading the compatibility documents and also consulting the local support line.

I´ll check those details on the PROFIBUS network...
