Access recipe elements using VBS

Hi all, I have two recipes configured in a TP700. Each Recipe has 120 elements and 10 data records. I would like to avoid using the Recipe view control in TIA Portal so I would like to write my own interface. Reading through the recipe related VBS commands, it's not clear how to access an individual element within a data record to display it on screen with an IO field and modify it as necessary, if that's even possible. 

Basically, what I'm attempting to do is load all elements for the selected data record on screen into individual IO fields so the user can modify them as necessary. Once they are modified, the records can then be saved.

Any thoughts?

It's for WinCC flexible, but most things you need should be quite similar.
