Hi all, I need some clarification on the HMI accessing the text files. I've spent many days reading all topics and posts about it and I'm not quite sure if I can achieve what I need. So I need to program the system tha includes the following: - PLC 1511T-1 PN The goal is to access the text files, which are stored on the PC hard drive. They contain process parameters (recipes) which have to be sent to PLC and used in the program. Now I got the real panel in, connected to the PC, and things don't really work the same way - I know the VB Script has to be different when testing the program in simulation and in the panel (Win10 vs Win CE) so I modified the script using WIN CE syntax. So, my question is, is it possible to use the physical HMI panel to access the files that are stored on the PC? Or it work only when the files are stored locally on the panel/USB? Are there any better ways of doing what I need to achieve? Sorry if that was answered already, I really couldn't find any clarification on that... I will be grateful if you can help me. Regards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello deborzanka In case of a Comfort Panel you have to look at this FAQ: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/92346478 Bye Murof |

Hi Murof, Thank you for the link - I followed the document (Data Storage on Windows Server or NAS Hard Disk) and my setup worked. Previously I tried this FAQ: LINK It is similar but didn't work on my application - I think the key was to create a new user and also changing folder permission options, not only sharing. Thanks again! Regards |
