Once solution is to configure your router to forward a different port from the internet to port 80 on the PLC's IP address. Let's say your router is at www.myPLC.com and your PLC address is 192.168.1.100. You configure the router to forward port 8080 to ip address 192.168.1.100. You connect to your PLC at http://www.myPLC.com:8080/ Hope that makes sense. If you have port 80 of the router open on the internet to edit the router itself, that could be a potentially bad thing if some kid running a hacking script on your router tries to break in. Most routers are programmable from IP addressesinside the LAN only and not from the internet. |
