Import-User-1 Gold Member Joined: 8/10/2005 Last visit: 2/7/2022 Posts: 3609 Rating: (28)	Import of a Technical Message of the User ryan3 ryan3 heloo sr i havea problem regarding using a analog input 331-7KF02-OABO when i wired analog input in PIW 256 and PIW 257 but PIW 257 IS not wired i make a program in fc1,these is the example; NETWORK 1 L PIW 256 T PQW 272 NETWORK 2 L PIW 257 T PQW 273 i read the value in PIW 256 the problem is in PIW 257 have i value also and when i adjust piw256 the value of piw 257 also change im working these problem almost 2 weekscan you pls help sr.i can finish my projectthanks your for any advice you will give.

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 6/9/2023 Posts: 6806 Rating: (1346)	Hello , PIW 256 is Word in nature and need 16-bit data width. PIW256 is combination of 2 bytes PIB256 and PIB257. This is a rule while working with simatic controllers.Set aside 2 bytes while using a Word.So,after PIW256 you should work on PIW258. 2 bytes PIB256 and PIB257 are assigned to one channel, this is why you see the changes in PIW257.My recommendation,go to HW config,open each channel and assign symbol to them.Use the symbolic addresses.That automatically avoid those errors.
