I have an application that is running under Wincc Unified RT v17. The PC have two network cards (one for local communication PLC network and second for internet/IT client network).

Right now PLC network card have IP class 172.168.0.x with mask 255.255.0.0 and IT client network card have IP class set as DHCP but with fix IP 172.168.x.x . Everything is working with this settings.

Now, client ask to add in local domain the PC and together with this change new IP class for IT client network card will be change 10.x.x.x.

What type of settings need to be done in this case? I suppose because of different class of IP between network cards there will be issues on the communication side.

It’s crucial to ensure that IT allows communication between the two subnets, as they often block such traffic by default. If this is the case, IT can create a rule to permit communication between the two IP addresses.
